Dear Sir or Madam,
Please pardon the assumption we are making, but if you are such a person as might be interested in expressing yourself about our nation's current war, this is an invitation for your participation at Camp Casey.

We are currently the site of the Iraq War Memorial, at Nevada and Dale downtown (Toons Music & Film), and we are next going to host an ART INVITATIONAL to address the theme of the HUMAN COST OF WAR.

With the Iraq War Memorial, we've addressed the 1,900+ US casualties of the current war. But we've said nothing yet of the 100,000+ Iraqi casualties, the 15,000+ US wounded, uncounted others, or the environment and culture destroyed. These are the human costs we'd like now to broadcast.

We are asking that you would be so generous as to set aside, for the moment what you are doing, to develop an art piece, a concept prototype or statement or performance, which speaks to the human cost of war.

Would you be interested? If so, we will be hosting an opening on Friday Oct. 14, beginning at 5pm, at our high-visibility corner. Saturday October 15 from noon onward we'll have performance pieces and interactive art projects. Please dress to get involved, we are expecting a suicide bombing, among other enactments. Pieces will remain on display at the 24-hour revival tent gallery for the duration of the weekend, perhaps longer as Camp Casey continues to afford access to the common passerby.

Are we talking about something incredibly short-notice? Yes we are, and we hope you'll agree there's no time to waste.

In the meantime we are hosting an artist reception this Saturday, October 8, to get acquainted, withhold ideas, and take in the memorial if you haven't had the chance.

Hope you can make it!
